Jedi Mind Tricks.

"I was gonnna rip his heart out, I'm the best ever. I'm the most brutal and most vicious and most ruthless champion there's ever been. My style is impetuous, my defense is impregnable. And I'm just ferocious, I want your heart! I wanna eat your children, praise be to Allah!" -Mike Tyson

The entire albums (Violent by Design, Visions of Ghandi) are good.

This is how I have been playing poker lately, with intense aggression and not enough thinking. The WSOP ME is wrapping up, and in the back of my mind I desire to be a champion (but not in practice).

24-tabling (6-max).

I did some 24-tabling of NL($0.50)(6-max) today, and got 10k hands in 6.5 hours. I averaged 1550 hands/hour, over 4 sessions, with an MT ratio of 21.5. I am practicing to get my future vengeance at NL($1)(6-max) where I am down a whopping $1300 this month.

Here are the NLHE ring games this month so far (73k hands, 65 hrs).
My only consolation is the $100 MTTs, $500 PLO, and $1300 FPPs.
An aggregate $23/hr is not worth it, but it feeds the addiction.

Recovery day!

I had a nice recovery today to turn the month around. PokerStars thought I was playing great too, as I got my first bot-check since playing there for 4 years. It brought up a prompt on all 24 of my tables, and had me type the word it displayed. It broke my concentration and probably cost me $20.

Here is a super-suspicious hand history. Look at his flop call of the raise with no pair, no draw, and no overcards, then he does some weird disconection thing on the turn before calling allin and hitting his 8 outer. Awful July so far.

Unfortunately this is my sixth negative post in a row in July. I can't seem to win at the NL($1) level at all. I have to break from it, because if I get allin again for a full stack with a big pair vs a small pair and lose I will punch a hole in my monitor. I also just lost 3 flips in a row for full stacks at NL($1) (6-max). AKvJJ, 99vAK, QQvAK.
Cremated at ring games: -$1,300
Short PLO session: +$500
MTTs: +$100
FPP value: +$900
When I type it like that it doesn't seem as bad, but looking at those NL($1) losses makes me want to puke.

Fate says no poker?

Monday: internet connection was out all day. Spent over 1 hour on the phone with tech support. They finally decided to send a technician Wednesday.

Tuesday: internet magically started working. Tried to start some sessions a couple of times and then all of a sudden my 30" Samsung monitor went black. I am going to run anti-virus stuff now, however, it could be 1) virus, 2) bad monitor, 3) bad video card, 4) overheating computer, 5) loose connection inside? ... I have no idea I am not proficient in this. I don't think it is the monitor because the self-test thing is working fine when it is not plugged into the computer.

I was all set to play good and try to recover from those two brutal days (Saturday/Sunday).

Worst day ever.

I had my worst day ever at my normal limits NL($1).
This excludes the 2 times I took shots NL($50) and $30/$60 HL Stud.

Lost $825 over 16,200 hands and was $700 below allin EV.
I already mentioned the 5 set over sets.

It was extremely painful. Normally I should win about $500 over this many hands with KK. However, AK seemed to be a favorite over KK today, and was up against AA many times too.
Probably need some time off, after two full days of nonsense.

What's wrong?

Oversetted 5 times in 2 days vs. the pfr for my stack (not really reflected in the graph below).
Top set losing to flush draw, backdoor straight etc. every time.
Overpair getting drawn out on.
Never hitting anything when I am behind.
Losing flips.
2 bad tilt plays A3svTT AIPF, QQvAA AIPF.

$650 below EV in 10,000 hands.
$1,000 downswing (10 buyins).

Considering cashing out, moving down, etc.

OMFG BS session.

I had a few deep runs in some MTTs this morning, bubbled the NLO8 very crazily, the bubble lasted about 20 minutes, with about 15 allin survivals, then the first time I am allin with AA56 vs KQxx, I lose. I did not make much in the MTTs either & they took forever.

Here is a quick 30 minutes of pain!

I lost some others, but this is a bit silly for 30 minutes!

Lesson, don't play KK or 33 after going deep in tournaments. I can make this conclusion because I have a logical mind.

Start July.

After having a great June, I was hoping for it to continue into July. I had a rough start, being down $700 at one point. Not much winnings, but I still get the $21/hour in FPPs, $320/15 hours.

June Ring Results.

I had my best month of ring NLHE results this year.
I got over $3,000 winning at every level ($25/hr, 123 hours).
An additional ~$1,500 in rakeback/FPPs.
It was also my second highest volume month this year.

Non-ring (ie. PLO, HL Stud, MTT, SNG, freerolls etc.) was a disappointing +$70 and a waste of time.
